Five ways to spend less on laundry day
Wednesday washers, the right drum size, full loads, moisture-sensing dryers and a loyalty card. How regulars cut their laundromat bill.

Wash on Wednesday
Every 20, 30 and 40 lb washer is a dollar on Wednesdays. Plan the big loads for midweek.
One big drum beats two small ones
Two loads in a 40 lb washer cost less than two 20 lb washers, and they dry faster together.
Fill the drum
A washer costs the same half empty as full. Load it to about three quarters, loose enough to fit a hand on top, and you run fewer machines.
Let the sensor end the cycle
Our stack dryers have moisture sensors, so a load stops when it is dry instead of when the time runs out. Start one cycle and add time in the app only if you need it.
